King David slept with Bathsheba his neighbour’s wife and was restored because he had the grace to receive forgiveness from God before he died, ordinary romance got Samson into trouble.
Just by resting his head on Delilah’s laps, he got his eyes plucked out and oh! He died after spending hours of chit chat on the laps of a woman... He lost his sight, his ministry, his life, yet, we never heard that they committed fornication on that day, but the end was ‘sorry!’
Ordinary kiss can land you in trouble.
Ordinary hug can lead you to your grave.
Ordinary hours spent carelessly around the opposite sex can turn out bitter!
“Afterall, we are not going to have sex, it's just romance”, you may do it and never have the grace to come out of it!
If you are in the habit of saying,
“I will give my life to God when I grow old.”
“Ahbeg! All these old Papas and Mamas enjoyed their youths oo... Now, they don't want us to live our lives clubbing and chilling with the big girls.”
“If Bro Chicago did it and got away with it, I can do it and nothing will happen!”
...It might shock you to know that those with whom you compare your life with have a different script to act on the stage of life.
Some, like David, may commit sexual immoraility at one point in their lives and get restored while some, like Samson, may do ‘just a kiss’ and land in hell, express road! But, do you know if you fall under the David or Samson umbrella? Why toying with sin?
If late Osinachi was like you, planning to start living responsibly and godly at the age of 50, what would be her fate now that she died at 42?
The day you have marked on your calender to give your life to God, stop dressing like an harlot, quit pre-marital sex, abortion, masturbation, pornography...and the likes may be too late for you to sit up and adjust.
If she waited till 50 before she yielded to the calling of God upon her life, now, she will be up there before the panel of heaven!
What will be your explanation for not remembering the Lord your God in the days of your youth?
