Act 26: 20
“But
declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all in the
region of Judea, and then to gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God,
and do works befitting repentance”
ALLELUIAH!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT IS REPENTANCE?
It’s simply a changed life, a life that
turns from sin to righteousness, from self to God, from this world to heaven,
from the temporal to the Eternal.

The power to pull you out
The power to pull everyone out
from darkness to light.
EXPLANATION
ON THE GOSPEL
PRAISED THOU LORD, THE LORD WANTS US TO COME BACK TO HIM
SINCERELY AND REPENT FROM OUR SIN.
AND SHOW FORTH OUR REPENTANCE OBVIOUSLY KNOWN TO HIM AND TO
MAN.
BY BECOMING THE DOER OF THE WORD.
OBIDENCE TO GOD’S COMMANDMENT IS HIGHLY NEEDED FROM EVERY
GOD’S CREATION.
I MEAN YOU AND I……..
THE WORLD AT LARGE GOD IS CALLING US
TO REPENT FROM OUR ABOMINABLE ACTS.
WAKE UP AFRICA, WAKE UP EUROPE, WAKE
UP ASIA AND WAKE UP NIGERIA.
REPENT NOW AND BE SAVED FROM THE FEAR
OF THE UNKNOWN THAT IS COMING.
GRACE IS AVAILABLE TODAY.
Acts 26:18
“To open their
eyes, in other to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan
to God, that they might receive forgiveness of sins and inheritance among those
who are sanctified by faith in me”
OBJECTIVES/ PURPOSE OF REPENTANCE.
1. Man
has rebelled and sinned against God. Rom 3:23 “For
all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”
2. God’s
wrath remains on men because of their sins (dead works).
Rom 2: 18-21“And know his will, and approve the things that are
excellent, being instructed out of the law, and are confident that you yourself
are a guild to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness, an instructor
to the foolish, a teacher of babies having the form knowledge and truth in the
law. You therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who
preach that a man should not steal, do you steal?”
3. Without
repentance all will perish (Luke 13: 1-5)
4. Repentance
(fear of the lord) teaches men to hate evil and to depart from it. Prov 8:13,
psalms 34: 11-14.
5. The
purpose of repentance is to prepare man’s heart to receive forgiveness of sin
through Jesus Christ by turning their heart from sin, and toward the living God.
Matt 3: 1-13, Act 3:19.
REPENTANCE IS CENTRAL TO THE
DOCTRINE OF JESUS CHRIST, AND WITHOUT REPENTANCE IS NO FORGIVENESS OF SINS
GODS PURPOSE OF REPENTANCE IS TO
PREPARE MANS HEART TO RECEIVE THE MERCY AND FORGIVENESS OF GOD THROUGH JESUS
CHRIST THE LORD. JOHN 3:3.
